John Emmett (Baseball, 1976-77)
Emmett was named a second-team All-America in 1977, the highest national award by an NAU athlete at the time. He ranks first in career on-base percentage (.558) and single-season on-base percentage (.609). At the completion of career, he was also among single-season leaders for runs (58, 1st), hits (53, 5th), base on balls (32, 5th) and slugging percentage (.642, 5th). In 1977, he led the team in eight offensive categories: hits (53), stolen bases (8), batting average (.442), bases on balls (32), runs (49), total bases (77), on-base percentage (.609) and hit by pitch (4). Emmett, a current resident of Tucson, was also named to 1977 Best of the West Tournament all-tournament team.
