April Diez-Walker (Swimming and Diving, 1992-96)

A Two-time NCAA Championship qualifier and holds four individual school records (200, 500, 1,000, and 1,650 free) and was part of the record-setting 800 free relay team. A 1994 All-American in the 1,650 free, she finished sixth overall at the NCAA meet and placed ninth in the 500 free earning honorable mention All-American honors. A 1993 World University Games championship finalist. She was named the 1993-94 top female scholar athletes in the nation. She was Named Female Swimmer of the Year after winning the 200 free, 500 free, 1,650 free and 400 IM at the 1995 Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships (setting an NAU record in the process).
