With 327 career tackles, Crissup led all Lumberjacks in career tackles dating back to 1984, and ranked fifth all-time in career tackles for NAU dating back to 1970. He was the recipient of NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship (2000) – the second NAU football player to receive this award and one of 12 Lumberjacks in all sports to be honored all time. He was a recipient of College Football Hall of Fame Foundation (Valley of the Sun Chapter) Post Graduate Award (1999), NAU 2000 Golden Eagle Co-Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award with Hall of Fame member Ross Land, two-time I-AA Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team (1998,1999), two-time elected Team Captain (1998, 1999), three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII (1997 – second team, 1998 & 1999 – first team), three-time All-Big Sky Selection (1997, 1998 – Second Team, 1999 – First Team), four-time Big Sky All-Academic Selection (1996, 1997, 1998, 1999), and a four-year starter at linebacker (1996-1999). He participated in NAU’s first two I-AA playoff appearances in 1996 (vs. Furman) and 1999 (vs. Georgia Southern). He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (May 2000).
