Allan Clark was an Associated Press, All American Honorable Mention in 1978. He held the record at Northern Arizona University for most yards rushing, 1,333 for a season and 2,753 for a career. Three times Clark rushed for more than 200 yards during a game. He also held the record for the longest rushing play, an 87-yard run against Boise State. In 1977, he played in the NCAA-Division II playoff game, where his team was ranked 5th nationally. He was also a member of the 1978 Big Sky Championship team. Clark was chosen as a Big Sky All Academic recipient, 1st team All conference, and Big Sky Player of the Year in 1978. ABC-TV also selected him as the Offensive Player of the Game against Idaho State. He played professional football for the New England Patriots (NFL) and the Arizona Outlaws (USFL). He was chosen Rookie of the Year in 1979 by the New England fans.
