Hockey, 1977-80, Assistant Coach, 1980-86

A former hockey player and coach at NAU....Was a goaltender on the hockey team from 1977-80 - served as club head coach in 1980-81 and as an assistant coach on NAU's NCAA Division I program from 1981-86...Was at the forefront of resurrecting the NAU Hockey Club in 1991-92 and was the head coach from 1991-94…Also spent the 2008-09 season as an assistant coach for NAU Hockey…Served the Flagstaff hockey community in numerous roles, earning the title "Mr. Hockey”...For more than two decades Allan influenced hundreds of aspiring local hockey players in the Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association and brought national recognition to the NAU Hockey program...After spending five years as a junior hockey player in Estevan, Saskatchewan and New Westminster, British Columbia, was drafted by the St. Louis Blues of the NHL and the Cleveland Crusaders of the WHA in 1974…Also spent two years as an Amarillo (TX) Wrangler in the Southwest Hockey League (1975-77); winning the SWHL Championship in 1975-76.
