1982 NAU Athletics Hall of Fame Class

Men's Basketball Team (1946-47)

Coached by Frank Brickley, the 1946-1947 Lumberjacks finished third in the National Association of Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament.  Two members of the team- Wayne See and Gene O'Dell-were the first collegiate players from Arizona to play in the National Basketball Association.  Posting a 19-7 record, the team also included:  Larry Baroldy, Shrol Buck, Vince Cisterna, Donald Diers, Ben Frealy, Jack McClain, Ralon Marar, Pete "Al" Murphy, Lee Williams, and Dan Yurkovich.
