Kalyn Sticher returns for her second season as a student assistant with the strength and conditioning program at Northern Arizona University. She works daily with the men’s and women’s tennis programs and the swimming and diving program.

She began her work with the strength and conditioning program in the summer of 2010, assisting head coach Cody Hodgeson with the summer weight and conditioning program.

Sticher was a member of the NAU women’s basketball team for the 2009-10 season, earning Golden Eagle Scholar-Athlete honors. She transferred from Black Hills State University where she was a two-year letter winner under head coach Mark Nore and part of the 2007-08 Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) champion team that advanced to NAIA elite eight at national championship tournament.

Sticher was a standout prep player at Kiowa High School in Colorado where she was a four-year starter and three-year captain under women's basketball head coach Dave Ehmann. She ranked third in Colorado 2A in scoring with 17.1 points-per-game as a senior. She was a starter in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-Star games and High School Coaches Association All-Star game featuring 32 of the state's elite players. She also lettered in volleyball.

A native of Kiowa, Colo., Sticher is pursuing a degree in exercise science and plans to pursue a career in athletic training.
