Andrew Kempe enters his first full year as the director of annual giving in the fall of 2011 after joining the staff in April 2011. He oversees contributions to the Lumberjack Athletic Association and the NAU Letterwinners Club.

Kempe joined the NAU staff after serving as the development coordinator in the athletic department at the United States Air Force Academy from 2009 to 2011. During his time at the Air Force Academy, Kempe developed and administered fundraising programs, assisted with premium seating programs for Air Force football, and organized and operated football tailgating events.

Prior to joining the staff at Air Force, Kempe served as an academic support assistant at Florida Atlantic University during the 2008-09 academic year and worked as a gameday entertainment assistant for the Miami Dolphins. 

Kempe received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from the Univeristy of Washington in 2005 and earned a Masters of Business Administration in Sport Management degree from Florida Atlantic in 2010.
