Jason Roundy is entering his third year as the assistant athletic director for development in August 2009. He had previously served as the Director of Annual Giving since 2007.

Roundy directs the department’s major gift efforts, and oversees the annual fund efforts – including the Lumberjack Athletic Association and the Letterwinner’s Club.

Since joining the department, Roundy coordinated the increase in annual donations by 250%. During his time as the major gifts officer for the athletic department, the number of endowments increased by 20%.

Roundy joined the NAU athletics department from Boise State University where he served as the marketing and promotions assistant. Prior to Boise State, he worked at Utah State University as an intern in the sports media relations office.

Roundy is fluent in American Sign Language, working as an interpreter at Utah State and for the Meridian School District.

He has also worked with several volunteer and leadership activities. He served on the Board of Trustees for Spencer’s Wishes Foundation, soliciting donations and supervising 200 volunteers. He was also the co-chair of the Major League Baseball Alumni Association of Utah’s annual baseball camp where he helped organize the operation of the camp for 200 children.

Roundy received his bachelor of science degree in journalism from Utah State University in May 2005 and a master of athletic administration from Idaho State University in December 2006. He was a member of the Golden Key Honors Society at Utah State

He is married to Shannon. They have a four-year old son, Draven and newborn daughter, Ayla.
