Beth Hopper, a former member of the Northern Arizona University women's basketball program, returns to NAU as the Assistant Director of Compliance in February 2014.
Hopper returns to Flagstaff from the University of Tennessee where she worked in the compliance office. Most recently, Hopper served as the Compliance Coordinator from August 2013 until her arrival at NAU. Among her responsibilities were assisting with current and prospective student-athlete education, producing educational materials for donors, boosters and local businesses that regularly had contact with UT student-athletes and assisting with tickets for prospective student-athletes and high school coaches for home football and men's basketball games.
Prior to her appointment to Compliance Coordinator, Hopper was a compliance intern from May-August of 2013 at Tennessee where she monitored signed memorabilia to the public and student-athletes' social media pages.
Hopper received her Juris Doctor in May 2012 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While working towards her degree, she worked as a legal writing tutor.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating with honors, from NAU in May 2006. Hopper played two seasons for the Lumberjack women's basketball team from 2004-06. During her NAU career, she was a two-time Big Sky All-Academic selection and Golden Eagle Scholar Athlete. She was a member of NAU's 2006 Big Sky Championship squad that earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, the only appearance in school history.
A Tennessee native, Hopper is a member of NACDA and the Tennessee Bar Association.
